Our Lady Parish has an adult co-ed volleyball league. We meet on Sunday evenings in the School Gymnasium. Matches last an hour and start at 5:00 p.m. and will start our last match at 9:00 p.m. We generally have 6-8 teams in the league. It is a recreational league-no blocked serves or hard sides; we self-referee. There is a fall and winter session. The Fall session begins at the end of September and runs through mid-December. The Winter session begins at the end of January and runs through mid-March.

This group of parishioners plans and organizes the Lenten Fish Fries and other parish dinners. The Fish Fries are one of our major fundraisers. We have fish fries on Ash Wednesday and most Fridays during Lent. Many volunteers are needed to prepare, cook, serve, and clean up. This is a great opportunity to meet new people.

The Parish Picnic is held on the school grounds. There are kid and adult games, music, a great barbecue, and refreshments. The school cafeteria will host a full dinner, including fried chicken, kettle beef, sides, and homemade desserts. A picnic would not be complete without a large cash prize raffle and a silent auction full of fun. Every year we try to feature something new and exciting, so mark your calendars for this fun-filled event!

Through our Parish School of Religion we offer weekly instruction to children in grades K-8 who are attending public schools. Our Lady Parish School of Religion represents a commitment from the parish expressing the mission of the Catholic Church to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people. This is accomplished through a program of continuous religious education aimed at teaching gospel values, nurturing faith development, and the moral formation of each student. Our Lady Parish School of Religion seeks to assist parents in their role as primary educators in preparing their children to hear and live the teachings of Christ as embodied in our Catholic tradition and to grow in living relationships with God and others. Students must have on-going Archdiocesan approved Religious education prior to and between the grades the Sacraments are offered--First Reconciliation & Eucharist in 2nd grade and Confirmation in 8th grade--before receiving these Sacraments. Parents are involved in preparation.
Our program is a Family Catechesis program which invites parents and families to work together with the pastor and catechists so that all will grow and develop in their faith lives. Our program is a combination of in-person classes for parents and students, guest speakers for adults and children, monthly family activities, and monthly PSR Family Masses. All classes and activities are held during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:45p-8p. Classes are held on Wednesdays (excluding holidays) during the school year from 6:45 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Registration begins in April and continues through August for the following school year.

The Young at Heart is a parish social group for those 50 years and older. During the year, the Young at Heart invites guest speakers to talk to the group on topics of interest. Members take day-long bus trips to places of interest and also some three- to five-day trips to places further away. This is a wonderful way to make new friends and join in fellowship with other parishioners! The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the school cafeteria beginning with a potluck dinner.
